Dogging and Swinging!
I thought I’d do some research on this, for what some may deem to be, unusual hobbies! Obviously I’ve heard of it as most people have, I’ve even encountered it, but I never really understood
much about how it came about or where it started. So, seeing as I’ve an hour spare today I thought I’d investigate this further!
After looking around the internet, this is what I’ve discovered. Dogging is a mainly British pursuit that usually takes places in open spaces such as car parks and other public areas with likeminded %adult contacts%. The dogging scene originally
began in the late 20th century when particiants would watch couples and swingers having sexual encounters in their cars and open spaces while they were out walking their pets.
The phenomenon was then adopted by the swinging scene, who began to explore the sensation of having sex out in the open, and meets soon began to be arranged. I know there are
various bits of etiquette too, where, for example, if you have your lights on inside the car, you want to be watched. Or if you leave windows open you’re encouraging a bit more
interaction. Things of this sort, but I’m not really fully up on all the dos and don’ts of this ’sport’, so can’t confirm all actions!
Swinging is a bit more established, and a bit more worldwide and universally known. It’s a bit more of a generic term too, not just referring to one stream as, for example, dogging does.
Swinging is now one of the most popular sexual pursuits in todays society, and has been going since before people can remember. Swinging has its main roots from the U.S. Air Force fighter
pilots during World War II. These men were wealthy enough to move their wives and families close to their base, which led to an unusual social milieu in which non-monogamy between these pilots’ wives and other pilots became socially acceptable.
Swinging grew in popularity during the 1950’s when Wife Swapping Parties and ‘Key Clubs’ as they were known, came into fashion, and it’s continued to grow in popularity ever since.
